                     A funky Sydney-based womyn's drumming trio who've
                    used voice, drum and other percussion to captivate
                     audiences since 2008.
                        Surprise: Helen, Karen, Michelle
                    Electric guitar, voices, harmonica. Surprise were a great
                   hit at the recent Zest for Life Concert.
                       Ini and Di: A duo of experience who performed at the
                    National Folk Festival in April and will raise winter energy
                    levels.

Real Illawarra Bushwalk – Sun 23 May

Real Illawarra Bushwalk – Sun 23 May

Join REAL Illawarra for some bushwalking in the Royal National Park. We will be doing two walks (walkers can do the first one only or both). The first is approx. 11km (3hrs) and the second 4km (1.75hrs). Both are easy/medium grade, with some service trail and some bushtrack walking. The first walk follows the Coastal Track along a headland, giving great views along the coast and out to sea. The second has some great hill views and meanders alongside a creek and through a dark forest for a while. We will pass through woodland forest, coastal scrub, heathland and rainforest. The coastline will be visible for a while, as will hills, so everyone should be happy at some point!

Pace will be medium.

Meet: Waterfall Train Station carpark

Time: 9am.

Cost: Park entry fee is $11/car. We hope to car pool to keep this cost down, or if you have a sticker some people may want to car pool with you!

RSVP: Essential. Please provide your name and a contact ph no. as the current forecast is for alot of rain. You will be contacted if it is cancelled, otherwise see you at 9am Sunday.

REAL: Tell us what you are thinking for the community forum

Hi REAL community

If you are aware of the Community Forum meeting at ACON on the 22nd of May it would be great for REAL and our community to know what you are thinking.

You know REAL /WLDI/WDI has served a great purpose for around 15 years in and for this community. Many women have 'come out' to this group and made friends to lessen being ostracized by those who haven't accepted their sexuality, or just wanted to chill out with other women, or who have just been out there curious! There are many more reasons why this network (REAL) has been a great avenue for many. It's now that REAL would like your support.

Tell us why you want it or why you don't.

Tell us your experience with us and whether you would change it and why you wouldn't. Tell us anything you want. If you want to be anonymous send in an envelope to ACON attention REAL your thoughts, experiences good or bad......

It's been a long run and one that I've enjoyed being a huge part of. REAL wants some new excitement, some new social events, some new people to help organise and keep this wonderful network going. We want transformation and we need you to help do this.

I know this is short notice.

The Illawarra Foster Carer Support Team is holding information sessions to encourage people to consider becoming foster carers. We would like to encourage you to think about whether you could share this information and invite a friend or family member to the information sessions.

We all know how important the recruitment of foster carers is because the number of children in out-of-home care continues to rise.

These information sessions will educate participants about what it is like to be a foster carer, how to become a foster carer and the different types of care available
