COAL is looking for a lesbian with NSW LR licence for a 22-seater bus for the Mardi Gras parade, to transport those unable to walk the route.

The Coalition of Activist Lesbians-Australia invites lesbians to join the "Out for Justice/One Person One Pension" Mardi Gras Parade entry for 7^th March 2009.

We plan to highlight the shocking omission by Kevin Rudd and the Labor Government to include a grandfather clause to phase in the introduction of the new Same Sex Equality Laws in relation to Centrelink recipients.

Now some lesbians will be forced to separate, move house or lose part or all of their Centrelink payments.

Many of these lesbians have experienced decades of both sexist and homophobic discrimination, including low pay, little or no superannuation, responsibility for children and aged family and have had no time to plan for these changes.

COAL has large glitter banners saying LESBIAN RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS

We plan on making some placards with messages related to:

One person: One pension!;  Grandfather Clause Now;  Lesbian Nation

We are asking for lesbians who want to march with us to wear a black top because we have yellow coal badges with paper ribbons saying Out For Justice, Out for our sisters and Out for our Lives…if everyone wears black these badges will act to identify us as a group.
